Senior Network Infrastructure Manager

Our client, a leading telecommunications enterprise, is seeking an accomplished Senior Network Infrastructure Manager to oversee their network operations and strategic development in Rustenburg . This senior leadership role is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the company's extensive network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, data centers, and cloud connectivity.
• Develop and execute strategic network architecture plans, aligning with business goals and emerging technologies.
• Manage a team of network engineers and technicians, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring professional development.
• Oversee network operations, including monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network infrastructure through robust policies and practices.
• Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Develop and manage the network infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and recommend strategic investments.
• Implement and maintain network disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the network engineering team.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in network engineering and infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, firewalls, load balancing, and network security.
• Proven experience with large-scale enterprise network design, implementation, and operation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and budgets.
• Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with on-site requirements in Rustenburg .
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP are highly desirable.
