Remote Senior Digital Transformation Manager

Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Senior Digital Transformation Manager to drive their strategic digital initiatives. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in South Africa, with a strong preference for candidates who can occasionally join in-person strategy sessions if convenient, potentially near Randburg, Gauteng, ZA . You will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing large-scale digital transformation projects, modernizing systems, and enhancing customer experiences through digital channels.

• Lead the development and implementation of the company's digital transformation strategy.
• Manage the lifecycle of digital transformation projects from ideation to deployment and adoption.
• Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and digital solutions to improve business processes and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with business units to define digital roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.
• Oversee cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, operations, and product development, in a remote setting.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for digital initiatives.
• Champion agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout transformation programs.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with digital transformation projects.

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital transformation, IT strategy, or program management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex digital transformation initiatives in the financial services industry is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and change management frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage remote, cross-functional teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, including AI, cloud computing, data analytics, and mobile platforms.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Slack).
