Job Description & How to Apply Below
AI-Native Problem Finder (Blockchain & Crypto Mining)

Most blockchain teams don't fail because they can't build. They fail because they build the wrong thing. We have engineers. What we need is the person who tells them which problem is worth solving.

This isn't a developer or engineering role, and it isn't a research-deck role either. You'll go into the blockchain and crypto mining market, find where businesses lose money, time or trust today, prove the problem is real, and hand our team a clear brief they can build against. You'll judge your work by one thing: whether the problems you chose made the company more successful.

About us

MUST Company is based in South Korea. We build AI products, Web3 tools for real-world assets, and Match Hire, the hiring platform this job is posted on. Our team works remotely across Asia and Africa. This role sits on our MPC project, a blockchain and crypto mining business.

How we work

We don't hire people to follow instructions. Everyone here owns their area, makes calls and answers for the results. If you spot a problem, even outside your role, we expect you to raise it and suggest a fix. You'll work directly with the founders, so decisions happen quickly.

We use AI every day for research, writing and analysis, but people are still responsible for the judgment. Most of our communication is written, and we care about what you get done, not when you're online.

What you'll do
  • Find business problems in blockchain and crypto mining: where miners, investors, exchanges, custody and wallet users, and partners lose money, time or trust today.
  • Prove each problem with evidence: on-chain data, mining economics (hashrate, energy cost, difficulty, margins), competitor analysis and real conversations with people who have the problem.
  • Rank problems by business value, revenue potential, feasibility, competition and regulatory risk, and pick the one worth solving first.
  • Write a short, clear brief for each chosen problem: who has it, what it costs them today, what we'd build, how we'd make money, and what success looks like.
  • Turn the brief into a prioritized task list with acceptance criteria that the engineering team can execute, and keep it filled with the highest-value work.
  • Spot partners, integrations and new customer segments, and bring them to the team.
  • Track the market: protocol changes, mining-industry shifts, regulation and competitor moves.
  • Use AI tools and agents to research and analyze faster and deeper than one person could by hand.
  • After something ships, measure whether it worked and feed what you learn into the next problem.
Your first three months

In the first month, you'll learn the MPC project, talk to the founders and team, and deliver your top 3 business problems ranked by value, backed by real evidence and at least 10 conversations with miners, investors or industry experts.

By the end of the second month, one problem should be chosen with a written business case, and the engineering team should be working from your prioritized task list.

By the end of the third month, we'd like to see the first result from that work (a pilot, a partner, a paying-customer conversation or a measurable improvement) and a weekly report on the KPIs that prove value.

What you'll need
  • At least 3 years in blockchain or crypto, in business, product, strategy, business development or research (not only engineering)
  • A real understanding of crypto mining economics and operations: hashrate, difficulty, energy cost, hardware, pools and margins
  • Enough blockchain technical knowledge (consensus, wallets, custody, MPC or key management, on-chain data, DeFi basics) to talk with engineers and judge what's feasible
  • You've found a problem others missed, proved it with evidence, and turned it into a product or business decision
  • You can size a market and build a simple revenue model or business case
  • You can turn a business priority into requirements or tasks an engineering team actually built
  • You use AI tools in your everyday work for research, analysis and writing
  • You write clearly. You can turn messy findings into a one-page brief a team can act on
  • You're comfortable working remotely across time zones, in professional English
Nice to have
  • Experience at a mining company, exchange, custody or wallet provider
  • A network in the crypto or mining industry
  • Experience with Dune, Glassnode, Nansen, Arkham or similar on-chain tools
  • Understanding of crypto regulation and compliance
  • Experience at an early-stage startup
What to include in your portfolio
  • 2 to 4 cases…
