Job Description

Our client is looking for a remote PDI Analyst to join their team. This individual is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing PDI software platforms and related retail, fuel, and enterprise applications. This role serves as a key technical resource for business stakeholders, ensuring reliable system performance, data integrity, integration effectiveness, and operational continuity across PDI and associated platforms. The analyst works closely with business users, vendors, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, support integrations, and optimize business processes related to fuel management, retail operations, inventory management, pricing, accounting, and enterprise data exchanges.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Administration
- o Provide day-to-day support for PDI Enterprise and associated applications.
- o Monitor system health, job execution, interfaces, and data processing activities.
- o Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and data-related issues.
- o Coordinate incident resolution with business users, infrastructure teams, and software vendors.
- o Manage system configurations, security access, and application setup.
Job Scheduling & Automation
- o Administer and support SIMPS job scheduling processes.
- o Monitor scheduled jobs, batch processing, and automated workflows.
- o Investigate and resolve failed jobs or performance issues.
- o Develop and maintain scheduling documentation and operational procedures.
- o Recommend automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
EDI & Integration Support
- o Support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and related business processes.
- o Monitor inbound and outbound EDI interfaces.
- o Troubleshoot data mapping, transmission, and transactional failures.
- o Coordinate with trading partners, vendors, and business teams to resolve integration issues.
- o Support data integrations between PDI, ERP, financial, inventory, and third-party systems.
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- o Gather and document business requirements.
- o Analyse system functionality and recommend solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
- o Participate in system enhancement projects and application upgrades.
- o Develop functional specifications and testing plans.
- o Support user acceptance testing and production deployments.
Data & Reporting
- o Analyze application data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- o Support reporting and analytics requirements.
- o Validate data quality and ensure compliance with business and technical standards.
- o Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
- o Serve as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and software vendors.
- o Coordinate support activities and system enhancements.
- o Participate in project planning, implementation, and post-production support.
- o Maintain effective communication regarding system status, incidents, and improvements.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience supporting PDI Enterprise software solutions.
Experience with SIMPS job scheduling or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools.
Working knowledge of EDI standards, transactions, and integration processes.
Experience troubleshooting enterprise application and interface issues.
Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with in convenience retail, fuel retail, logistics, or wholesale distribution environments.
Experience with PDI Enterprise, PDI Inventory Management, PDI Accounting solutions, ERP integrations, and middleware or integration platforms.
Knowledge of API integrations and data mapping.
