HPC HW Engineer

This role will be on-site at a Federal Customer in Vicksburg, MS and will require going on-site 5 days a week, potentially more with on-call work. This role requires government security clearance of TS Clearance with a preference for TS/SCI at time of hire. Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams, delivering technical support and leadership in the design and implementation of solutions that address business needs.

Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business and serve as a trusted advisor by building and maintaining effective relationships that support customer satisfaction. Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by sharing technical expertise, proven methodologies, and insights gained from customer engagements. Help shape technical direction and strategy for both the organization and its customers.

Maintain strong chargeability levels, or provide expense relief for internal teams, while supporting revenue growth and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to profitability by identifying and developing new business opportunities and providing technical input for proposal development.

• Report daily and work onsite at the customer location.
• Monitors and maintains the health of HPC systems, including compute, network, and storage.
• Troubleshoots and repairs hardware issues.
• Perform daily hardware diagnostics and repairs.
• Creates, tracks, and closes assigned support cases and ensures that all open cases on teams assigned systems are completed to customers satisfaction. Returns parts in accordance with company policy and customer SLA's.
• Maintains availability reports to track service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintains the on-call schedule to support 24x7x2/4 coverage year-round.
• Supports new system installations with hands on hardware and software and customer acceptance testing.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain strong relationships with team members and customers.
• Maintain onsite parts inventory.
• Occasional travel for training is required.
• Mentors junior team members in issue and case management, skill development, and alignment with organizational goals.

• 4+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (7+ years in total).
• Clearance:
  Requires appropriate level of security clearance for site/contract - TS clearance; TS/SCI is preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  Requires CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ certifications or equivalents such as RHCSA, RHCE, CISSP etc. (Candidates who do not already hold it must obtain the certification before the start date.
