Cloud Engineer

Reynolds and Reynolds builds the software that runs automotive dealerships. Our Cloud Engineering team owns the infrastructure that powers those solutions, including how it is built, how it fails, and what it costs. Engineers own meaningful projects end-to-end, from architecture and design through implementation and operational support.

We believe great engineering starts with understanding the bigger picture. We’re looking for engineers who think about architecture before diving into code and who enjoy working across infrastructure and operations. They’re curious problem-solvers who can reason through complexity and make it simpler, understand systems from the hardware up, and think thoughtfully about where boundaries belong within a system. They’re the kind of engineers who see a latency spike as an opportunity to understand what’s happening rather than simply a problem to fix, and who enjoy sharing the thinking behind the solutions they deliver, with or without AI-assisted tools.

What You’ll Do:

-Design cloud infrastructure and operating approaches aligned with system architecture, reliability, performance, and cost goals
-Own technical decisions from architecture and tradeoff analysis through implementation, validation, and operation
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code, automation, CI/CD workflows, and observability for Linux and Windows workloads
-Investigate latency, failures, and scaling issues; explain what broke, why it broke, and how the system was improved
-Participate in a shared on-call rotation after becoming familiar with the environment
