Dev Ops Engineer

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Remote, Contract opportunity offers the chance to help strengthen cloud based platforms, improve software delivery processes, and enhance system reliability across a dynamic technology environment. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with technical stakeholders to develop scalable infrastructure solutions, advance automation efforts, and support operational excellence.

Success in this position requires a strong foundation in cloud technologies, platform engineering, and modern deployment practices.

$55.00 to $60.66 per hour

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST with flexibility around core working hours

• Support the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of cloud infrastructure and automated deployment frameworks that enable reliable delivery of technology solutions.
• Oversee automation initiatives related to system configuration, application releases, environment management, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain platform performance through proactive monitoring, incident response activities, service reliability efforts, and analysis of system issues to identify long term improvements.
• Ensure technology environments align with security requirements, compliance expectations, and governance standards through automation and operational controls.
• Collaborate with development and technical teams to promote scalable architecture, improve operational readiness, and enhance the overall developer experience.

• Demonstrated experience working with cloud infrastructure in AWS and implementing infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform or similar technologies.
• Strong background in platform engineering, continuous integration and delivery practices, automation strategies, and modern software release methodologies.
• Hands on experience supporting containerized environments, orchestration platforms, APIs, and distributed application ecosystems.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Python, Bash, Power Shell, or comparable programming languages.
• Knowledge of observability platforms, security focused engineering practices, compliance driven environments, governance automation, and emerging technologies related to AI monitoring and operational oversight.
