Senior Solutions Architect - Data & Analytics

** Mossel Bay, Western Cape**, is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect specializing in Data & Analytics. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's data strategy, designing and implementing scalable data platforms, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. • Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure data platforms and solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of big data solutions using technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and cloud-native services.
• Develop data models, schemas, and architectures that support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
• Optimize data processing performance and cost-efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of data strategy and roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security best practices.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role, with a strong focus on data solutions design.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing and big data solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, Glue; Azure Data Lake, Databricks; GCP Big Query, Cloud Storage).
• Expertise in ETL/ELT tools and techniques, and data pipeline orchestration.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database technologies (relational, No

• Understanding of data modeling techniques and principles.
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
