Business Intelligence Analyst

Our client, a growing retail company, is looking for a diligent Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role is crucial for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business strategy and improve decision‑making across departments. You will be responsible for developing reports, dashboards, and analytical models to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.

• Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
• Work with stakeholders to gather reporting and analysis requirements.
• Design and implement data models and ETL processes.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis to answer specific business questions.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting and analytical efforts.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize database performance and data warehousing solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and relevant teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik View.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
