Telecommunications Systems Analyst

Our client, a prominent telecommunications services provider, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Telecommunications Systems Analyst to join their team remotely. This position is vital for evaluating, recommending, and implementing improvements to our client's complex telecommunications systems and processes. You will leverage your expertise in network architecture, performance metrics, and operational efficiency to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. As a fully remote role, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa , contributing to a leading organization in the dynamic telecom landscape.

• Analyze the performance, reliability, and efficiency of existing telecommunications systems (voice, data, mobile, and IP networks).
• Identify system deficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement through data analysis and user feedback.
• Develop and document technical specifications for new systems or upgrades, aligning with business requirements.
• Research and evaluate emerging telecommunications technologies and solutions.
• Collaborate with network engineers, IT professionals, and business stakeholders to define system requirements and design solutions.
• Create comprehensive reports and presentations detailing findings, recommendations, and project proposals.
• Assist in the planning and execution of system testing and deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, technical diagrams, and user guides.
• Monitor system health and performance post-implementation, identifying and addressing any issues.
• Provide technical expertise and support to various departments within the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications systems analysis, network operations, or a related IT role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications principles, including VoIP, mobile networks (2G/3G/4G/5G), IP networking, and broadband technologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting tools.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis software.
• Ability to interpret complex technical data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks is a plus.
