Remote Network Support Specialist

This critical position is responsible for providing first-line and second-line technical support for our clients' network infrastructure, resolving connectivity issues, and ensuring optimal network performance. • Provide remote technical support to clients experiencing network-related issues, including connectivity problems, slow performance, and hardware malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose network problems using various diagnostic tools and software.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
• Escalate complex issues to senior network engineers or relevant support teams when necessary.
• Document all support interactions, resolutions, and network configurations accurately in the ticketing system.
• Assist with the setup and onboarding of new clients' network environments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and security best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve support processes.
• Ensure timely and professional communication with clients throughout the support process.

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a network support or network administration role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Ubiquiti.
• Familiarity with network security concepts, including firewalls and VPNs.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a logical approach to issue resolution.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, Ping, Trace route).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or similar are highly desirable.
