E-commerce Data Analyst

Our client is actively seeking a talented and detail-oriented E-commerce Data Analyst to join their growing team, remotely serving their operations in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape . This critical role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to e-commerce performance, customer behavior, and market trends. The insights derived from your work will directly inform strategic decision-making across marketing, sales, product development, and operational functions.

• Collect, clean, and process data from various sources, including web analytics, sales platforms, CRM, and social media.
• Perform in-depth analysis of e-commerce website performance, user behavior, sales trends, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, customer lifetime value, AOV, and traffic sources.
• Identify patterns, trends, and insights from data to provide actionable recommendations for business improvement.
• Conduct A/B testing analysis to evaluate the impact of website changes and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, IT) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Present complex data findings in a clear, concise, and visually compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry best practices in data analytics, e-commerce, and data visualization techniques.
• Develop predictive models to forecast sales and customer behavior where applicable.

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within an e-commerce or digital marketing environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python (Pandas, Num Py), or R.
• Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
• Strong data visualization skills using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and provide data-driven solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for conveying analytical insights.
