Remote Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Automation

You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployment, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of cloud-based applications.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for applications and infrastructure.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Manage containerization platforms like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Ensure the security, performance, and availability of cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Stay current with emerging Dev Ops tools, technologies, and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Dev Ops, system administration, or software engineering with a Dev Ops focus.
• Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for remote team environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively in a fully remote capacity, independent of location such as Polokwane.
