HIEA RHT Provider EHR Support Specialist

Location:

Raleigh, NC (Remote)

Duration: 8 Months

Responsibilities:

• EHR Integration & Technical Onboarding:
  • Lead rural provider onboarding to Health Connex, guiding organizations and EHR vendors through connection requirements and services.
  • Conduct technical assessments to identify readiness gaps and implementation needs.
  • Coordinate with HIEA and technical teams to support integration and address data issues.
• Healthcare Interoperability Standards & Compliance:
  • Provide guidance on interoperability standards and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Evaluate provider submissions for adherence to interoperability expectations.
• Data Quality & Validation:
  • Review clinical data for completeness and conformance to HIE requirements.
  • Lead data quality initiatives and support resolution of data issues.
• Training & Provider Support:
  • Deliver technical assistance and trainings to help providers utilize Health Connex tools.
  • Collaborate on provider communication and project coordination.
• Cross-Team & Program
  
  Collaboration:
  • Collaborate on interoperability and data quality initiatives.
  • Support modernization of digital health infrastructure across rural areas.

Must-Have

Skills & Experience:

• 5 Years experience with EHR platforms like Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts/Veradigm, or Next Gen.
• 5 Years proficiency with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI.
• 5 Years experience in validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration issues.
• 3 Years ability to interpret clinical workflows and map them to data exchange requirements.
• 3 Years strong communication skills for explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• 3 Years knowledge of HIPAA and health information privacy/security requirements.
