Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Willow Application Analyst / Builder to support Ambulatory Pharmacy Services in a fully remote, direct-hire position. This is a specialized healthcare IT role for a professional with hands‑on Epic Willow build and configuration experience, active Epic Willow Ambulatory and Willow Inventory certifications, and the ability to lead application support, workflow optimization, and technical solution development.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Epic application build, understands pharmacy‑related workflows, and can guide technical discussions, mentor team members, and drive application improvements across clinical and operational teams. This position requires direct Epic build experience. Candidates whose backgrounds are limited to help desk support, general IT analysis, or clinical informatics without hands‑on Epic build experience will not meet the requirements.

  • Epic Willow Inventory certification – required.
  • 3–5 years of application support experience.
  • Experience serving as an application lead, technical lead, or equivalent team leadership role.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, gather technical and operational requirements, and develop effective application solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical, clinical, and operational teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and guide work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare IT experience, particularly within pharmacy services or ambulatory care.
  • At least 2 years of project management, application leadership, or technical team leadership experience.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues, coordinating cross‑functional initiatives, and leading application enhancements or change initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • An associate degree with substantial relevant experience may also be acceptable.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, maintain, and support Epic Willow applications in alignment with pharmacy operations and business requirements.
  • Evaluate existing application functionality and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization, improved efficiency, and a better end‑user experience.
  • Translate business and operational needs into practical Epic application solutions.
  • Coordinate technical discussions and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define requirements, assess options, and recommend solutions.
  • Serve in an application leadership capacity by helping prioritize work, guiding solution development, and supporting team decision‑making.
  • Mentor team members and promote structured problem‑solving and consistent application support practices.
  • Support application enhancements and change initiatives in a dynamic healthcare IT environment.
  • Communicate technical recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
