Analytics Engineer

Ensemble RCM LLC is advancing data, automation, and AI strategy in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). As a Senior Analytics Engineer (remote, Austin, TX), you will help build production-grade analytics engineering foundations using dbt on a Databricks Lakehouse
, transforming operational needs into reliable data models, transformation pipelines, and structured datasets that support intelligent AR Follow-Up.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve high-quality data models and transformation pipelines using dbt in a Databricks Lakehouse environment.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable data models,
  macros
  , testing frameworks, and automation logic aligned to cross-functional AR Follow-Up needs.
• Collaborate with operational and product stakeholders to translate AR workflows into technical designs and incremental deliverables that enable automation and intelligent prioritization
  .
• Partner with data architecture to establish and advocate for analytics engineering standards
  , including modeling conventions, naming patterns, and testing best practices.
• Participate in technical design sessions, spike investigations, and data architecture reviews to ensure alignment with long-term platform and automation strategy.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain data model quality, support modular and testable design, and provide mentorship through constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues across ingestion, transformation, and semantic layers to drive sustainable fixes.
• Promote analytics engineering excellence through automation

  , governance, and continuous improvement.
• Design and optimize Delta Lake tables and Spark workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and vendor solutions in the modern data ecosystem and advise on potential impact.
• Support AR Follow-Up transformation with structured datasets for examples such as:
  • Account prioritization and scoring
  • Denial categorization and trend analysis
  • Aging analysis and performance tracking
  • Workflow routing and automation logic

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or building production-grade BI/data solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt in a modern ELT environment (or similar framework).
• Experience with Databricks
  , Spark
  , and Delta Lake (or comparable distributed data platforms).
• Advanced SQL expertise and experience optimizing large-scale data transformations.
• Deep knowledge of analytics engineering best practices, including automated testing,
  CI/CD
  , modular design,
  observability
  , and governance.
• Ability to build scalable data models in distributed or cloud-based architectures.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Curiosity and interest in enabling AI, ML, or intelligent automation initiatives.
• Knowledge of data architecture principles, modeling patterns, and analytics engineering best practices.
