VPAT Process Consultant

Our client, a higher education institution, is seeking a VPAT Process Consultant for a temporary, remote position. The consultant will evaluate VPATs and software accessibility during procurement. This role will create a clear, scalable review process that supports procurement, legal, IT, and other stakeholders.

• Assess the current VPAT and procurement accessibility review approach.
• Evaluate vendor accessibility documentation and software during procurement.
• Design a scalable, repeatable, and sustainable VPAT review process.
• Develop clear guidelines, workflows, and modular review procedures.
• Advise procurement, legal, IT, and other stakeholders using real-world accessibility program experience.

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience reviewing VPATs and evaluating software or products during procurement.
• Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards and procurement review considerations.
• Experience designing or improving scalable, repeatable accessibility review processes.
• Ability to translate specialized accessibility knowledge into clear guidelines and workflows.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with procurement, legal, IT, or other institutional stakeholders is preferred.
