Remote IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

This role is entirely remote, focusing on providing expert-level support for their clients' IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud environments. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of these critical systems, offering remote troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance services.

• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for servers (Windows/Linux), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Monitor IT infrastructure performance and proactively identify potential issues or bottlenecks.
• Perform remote configuration and deployment of new IT infrastructure components.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems.
• Implement and maintain IT security best practices, including patching and vulnerability management.
• Respond to and resolve IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner according to SLAs.
• Document IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Assist with IT infrastructure planning, upgrades, and migrations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure support, systems administration, or network engineering.
• Strong understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity, server performance, and application issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Server+, Cloud+, CCNA) are highly desirable.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., Power Shell, Bash) is a plus.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote, autonomous environment.
