Junior IT Support Technician Apprentice

Our client, a rapidly growing IT services provider located in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA
, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Junior IT Support Technician Apprentices. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in IT support, network administration, and troubleshooting within a dynamic technology environment. You will work closely with experienced IT professionals, learning to support users, manage systems, and resolve technical issues. The role offers a hybrid work model, combining on-site presence at our Benoni office with the flexibility of remote work.

We are looking for individuals with a strong foundational understanding of computers and technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning IT. This program is designed to develop aspiring IT professionals into skilled technicians capable of managing and supporting complex IT infrastructures.

• Provide first-level IT support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity problems.
• Respond to help desk tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Help manage user accounts and permissions.
• Perform routine system maintenance and updates.
• Document IT processes and solutions.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions, both in-person and remotely.
• Assist with the setup of IT equipment for new employees.

• A foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for user support.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in IT support or network administration.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are a plus.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, involving regular on-site work in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA
