Corner Stone Technology Talent Services (TTS) is seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to help transform legacy data extracts and reporting processes into reliable cloud-based data pipelines and analytics. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can understand complex source systems, develop efficient Snowflake solutions, and ensure business users can trust the results.

You will work across the data lifecycle—from reverse engineering existing extracts and mapping transformation rules to validating Snowflake loads and supporting Power BI semantic models and dashboards. Success requires strong technical execution, careful reconciliation, and the ability to connect business reporting needs with sound data engineering practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest and transform data from legacy mainframe and enterprise application environments into Snowflake.
• Reverse engineer existing data extracts, reporting logic, and dependencies to document how source data supports business needs.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake SQL, data-loading processes, and transformations for reliable, efficient processing.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects on data modeling, schema design, and transformation logic.
• Validate source-to-target mappings, reconcile results across systems, and investigate discrepancies to protect data accuracy and completeness.
• Support Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dashboards using Snowflake as the primary data source.
• Troubleshoot issues across the complete data flow, from source extraction through Snowflake ingestion to Power BI reporting.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into clear functional specifications, technical designs, and documentation.
• Develop data conversion and implementation plans; participate in code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Document data flows, metadata, system dependencies, and operational procedures to support maintainability and self-service analytics.

• 8+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience, including SQL development, data loading, transformations, and performance tuning.
• 4+ years of experience with ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, and data integration patterns.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing complex data flows and troubleshooting issues across multiple systems.
• 4+ years of experience with enterprise information management processes, relational database management systems, and metadata management.
• 2+ years of experience delivering against project deadlines in fast-paced, changing environments, including analyzing complex information and developing plans to resolve issues.
• 2+ years of experience collaborating across technical and business teams, resolving conflicts, negotiating priorities, and maintaining effective working relationships under pressure.

• 3+ years of experience with Informatica, Matillion, Azure Data Factory, or comparable data integration tools.
• Experience modernizing legacy mainframe or IMS data extracts for cloud data platforms.
• Experience supporting Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dashboards connected to Snowflake.
• Experience documenting source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, data lineage, and reconciliation procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing, business administration, or a related field.
