Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with expert-level, hands-on experience configuring and administering Collibra. This role will own the day-to-day administration, configuration, and ongoing development of the organization’s data governance platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of Collibra and be able to independently manage platform capabilities, develop workflows, configure asset models, and improve governance processes without requiring basic training or step-by-step direction.

The Senior Systems Administrator will lead Collibra configuration and enhancement efforts, supporting capabilities such as Business Glossary, Data Catalog, data lineage, metadata management, and workflow development. This individual will work with business and technology stakeholders to understand governance needs, translate them into platform solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure Collibra supports enterprise data governance objectives. The role will also help identify opportunities to improve platform functionality, establish configuration standards, and provide technical guidance to other team members.

The ideal candidate will be a proven Collibra expert rather than an end user, data steward, or data consumer. They should have substantial hands-on experience building and maintaining Collibra solutions, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of complex initiatives from planning through implementation.

Experience with integrations, development, and other data governance technologies is beneficial but secondary to deep Collibra expertise.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, data governance technology, or a related technical field
• Expert-level, hands-on experience configuring and administering Collibra
• Deep experience with Collibra Business Glossary, Data Catalog, data lineage, and metadata management
• Experience designing, building, configuring, and maintaining Collibra workflows
• Experience creating and maintaining Collibra asset models, relationships, and governance structures
• Strong understanding of Collibra platform capabilities and configuration options
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex Collibra configuration and workflow issues
• Experience translating business and data governance requirements into practical Collibra solutions
• Experience implementing and maintaining data governance processes within Collibra
• Ability to manage Collibra enhancements and technical initiatives independently
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver platform solutions

Soft Skills:

• Collibra Ranger certification or active progress toward certification, with demonstrable hands-on expertise
• Experience with Collibra APIs and advanced platform integrations
• Experience integrating Collibra with Smartsheet or other enterprise applications
• Experience connecting application inventories, projects, data assets, and business assets within Collibra
• Experience with Python, Java, REST APIs, middleware, or other integration technologies
• Experience with BigID, Imperva, or comparable data sensitivity scanning and classification tools
