Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Remote.
Required- Experience with Gathering requirements and creating reports (8+ years).
- Experience with Facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions (8+ years).
- Experience with Participating in and providing guidance to business in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities (5+ years).
- Experience with Snowflake (2+ years)
- Experience with Power BI (2+ years).
- Experience with Oil and Gas industry (2+ years).
- Gather, develop, and document requirements for complex emerging technology hardware and software projects supporting the Mainframe Reports and Extract effort at the Railroad Commission of Texas.
- Review, assess, and develop business processes using multiple methods, applying accepted business analysis methodologies to ensure consistent quality in deliverables and materials.
- Perform data analysis and root cause analysis of data errors, including documenting data flows across the report and extract effort.
- Design and develop reports using Power BI and Snowflake, with knowledge and background in data publishing.
- Create and validate user acceptance testing (UAT) for the projects.
- Publish data on the DIR Open Data Portal or the RRC website.
- Provide research and special project support to users, and assign or supervise the work of others as needed, while working under limited supervision with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
