We are seeking an experienced VCF Automation Senior Engineer to implement, configure, and optimize VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with vRealize Automation / VCF Automation, automation blueprints, workflow development, API integrations, and hybrid cloud provisioning. This role involves collaborating with architects and customer teams to deliver scalable automation solutions and ensure smooth Day-2 operations.

• Deploy, configure, and validate VCF Automation in VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including VCF 9.
• Develop automation blueprints and cloud templates for virtual machine provisioning, service requests, approvals, and self-service catalogs.
• Configure cloud accounts, cloud zones, resource mappings, authentication, identity management, governance policies, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
• Integrate VCF Automation with vSphere, NSX, vSAN, VCF Operations, and external systems such as CI/CD pipelines, CMDB, and ITSM platforms.
• Develop and maintain VMware Orchestrator (vRO) workflows, custom resource actions, ABX actions, and REST API integrations.
• Create automation scripts using Power Shell, Python, YAML, and JSON.
• Troubleshoot provisioning failures, workflow issues, and integration errors; perform root cause analysis and optimize automation performance.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code principles and integrate configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Support hybrid cloud provisioning across VMware and public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Prepare technical documentation, configuration guides, operational runbooks, and Day-2 support procedures.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and collaborate with architects, project managers, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery.

• 5+ years of VMware delivery experience, with a strong focus on automation.
• Hands-on experience implementing and configuring vRealize Automation or VCF Automation.
• Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 and exposure to VCF 9.
• Strong knowledge of vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
• Experience developing automation blueprints, cloud templates, approval workflows, and self-service catalog items.
• Proficiency in VMware Orchestrator (vRO), Power Shell, Python, YAML/JSON, and REST API integrations.
• Experience configuring cloud accounts, cloud zones, resource mappings, governance policies, and RBAC.
• Experience integrating automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines, CMDB, ITSM systems, and external APIs.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Experience with at least one hybrid cloud or public cloud provisioning platform: VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with experience in professional services or consulting environments.

• VMware Certified Professional VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator (2V0-17.25).
• Optional: VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (2V0-13.25).

• Ability to execute implementation plans in alignment with the solution architecture and established best practices.
• Experience supporting automation solutions through Day-2 operations and operational handoff.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment while collaborating effectively with technical and customer-facing teams.
