About this role
PCG supports a federal government client that uses data to find and stop financial fraud. Our team builds two kinds of tools for this: graph models that surface hidden networks of financial transactions and relationships, and large language model (LLM) techniques that pull structured insight out of narrative text filings. We turn what we find into leads that human reviewers can act on.
We’re looking for a data analyst to join this effort. You’ll help build and test network models, apply LLM-based text analysis, and package findings into outputs that make sense to both technical and non-technical audiences. You’ll also help hand off finished analytic processes to government staff, with documentation clear enough that someone else can pick it up and run with it.
This is a hands‑on role with real room to grow your skills in graph analytics and applied AI. You’ll report to the program’s technical lead.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance (moderate risk background investigation). Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens or permanent residents with at least three years of continuous U.S. residency. PCG is unable to sponsor H-1B visas. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be reviewed.
Responsibilities- Help build and test graph models that represent networks of financial transactions and related parties
- Support the design and testing of LLM-based processes that pull topics and insight out of narrative text filings
- Help create outputs that summarize network statistics and rank leads by priority
- Support quarterly reports that cover new techniques, delivered leads, and case outcomes

- Document methodology, scoring logic, and threshold decisions so others can reproduce the work
- Track metrics on delivered leads and case outcomes over time
- Stay current on new analytics and AI methods relevant to fraud detection, and suggest ways to apply them
- Follow current government guidance on responsible use of AI in analytic work
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident with three or more years of continuous U.S. residency, with the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance (required for federal contractor work)
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 3+ years of full-time experience in a data analyst, research analyst, or similar analytical role
- Working proficiency in Python for data analysis and data processing
- Basic understanding of graph or network analysis concepts (nodes, edges, relationships between entities)
- Experience working with text data, including natural language processing methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to explain analytic findings to non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple analytic tasks at once, with sound judgment and follow-through
- Experience with graph analysis libraries or graph databases (for example, NetworkX)
- Experience using large language models for text classification or information extraction
- Exposure to distributed computing tools such as Apache Spark
- Familiarity with financial compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), or fraud detection work
- Experience presenting analytic findings to government or other non-technical stakeholders
- Fully remote position (company- or client-provided laptop)
- Salary commensurate with experience, plus annual bonus
- Paid time off
- Basic life and disability insurance
- Professional training and development support
