About the role

We are looking for an autonomous Data Scientist based in Mexico to own the intersection of sophisticated predictive decision-making and world-class engineering for our North American operations. In this role, you won't just run standard scripts; you will be the custodian of our product's localized evolution, ensuring our AI-driven decision engines are mathematically sound, highly optimized, and engineering-resilient. You will be working remotely from Mexico, supporting our growing team and clients across the US.

Working closely with our core engineering team in Berlin, you will translate complex, real-world retail challenges into scalable, high-performance software solutions directly impacting our US clients on the ground. As our dedicated data science resource for the US region, you are the engine of 7

Learnings’ regional presence. Our product relies on the perfect harmony between complex algorithms and stable software; you will be responsible for ensuring that our technical execution remains flawless, technical debt remains low, and model accuracy remains exceptionally high.

Your mission
- Leverage analytical skills to support retail optimization projects across the US market.

  • Experiment with Machine Learning models to forecast sales volume and costs.
  • Interface with retailers to continuously improve the 7

    Learnings software.
  • Collaborate closely with our global engineering team.
  • Optimize our data pipelines and predictive model codebases.
  • Support the monitoring, measurement, and exploration of large-scale datasets.

Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.

  • A results-oriented, pragmatic mindset.
  • Hands-on experience in machine learning and data science.
  • Prior experience with Git, Tensor Flow, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, or Big Query.
  • Strong project management skills, with prior experience or a strong interest in e-commerce and the retail industry.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a proven track record of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • English:
Native speaker or professional working proficiency (C1-C2 level).
  • You are located in Mexico (working aligned with US time zones).
What we offer?
  • Flexible working hours
  • 100% remote work from Mexico
  • 30 vacation days per year
  • Culture of trust and regular, constructive feedback
  • High degree of personal responsibility
