Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Our client, a rapidly growing software company, is seeking an experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their team in Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA . This hybrid role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support our scalable applications. You will play a critical role in automating deployment processes, enhancing system reliability, and optimizing cloud resource utilization.

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize application performance.
• Implement security best practices across the cloud environment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and processes.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Stay current with emerging Dev Ops tools and technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, or System Administration.
• Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops).
• Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Solid understanding of networking principles, security, and system monitoring.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, adept at working in a hybrid team setting.
