Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a critical role focused on building, automating, and scaling our client's infrastructure to support their fast-paced development cycles. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our production environments.

As a senior member, you will drive best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automation. This position is 100% remote, offering the ultimate flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. • Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident management and resolution.
• Stay current with emerging Dev Ops tools, technologies, and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or a related infrastructure role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Power Shell).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Experience with microservices architectures is a plus.
