Remote IT Support & Systems Maintenance Specialist

Our client is searching for a dedicated and experienced Remote IT Support & Systems Maintenance Specialist to provide essential technical assistance and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to apply your expertise from anywhere, contributing to a seamless technology experience for our users. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing system maintenance, managing user accounts, and providing help desk support.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with various departments to ensure IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient. This role is crucial for maintaining productivity and supporting our clients' evolving technological needs.

• Provide remote technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, patches, and performance tuning for servers and workstations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), applications, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware as required.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
• Document IT procedures, solutions, and configurations in a knowledge base.
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees, ensuring their IT setup is complete and functional.
• Respond to IT support requests promptly and professionally, prioritizing urgent issues.
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and infrastructure improvements.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or systems maintenance, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with network protocols and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with cloud-based services and applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong understanding of hardware components and their functions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT Support) are a plus.
