Description of Work Recruitment Range:
Up to $100,690

The position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite work. Any telework will be under the conditions of the state Teleworking Program Policy and the employer may end any teleworking arrangement at any time in the employer's sole discretion.

We currently have an opening for a Systems Administrator IIThe Systems Administrator II is responsible for administering, configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the agency’s Service Now platform to support enterprise-wide business operations and digital transformation initiatives. Demonstrated hands-on Service Now experience is required to successfully perform the duties of this position, including platform administration, application development, workflow automation, integrations, and troubleshooting. The position works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and agency leadership to deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and user-focused technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, maintain, and enhance the Service Now platform, ensuring stability, performance, security, and alignment with agency requirements
• Apply demonstrated Service Now experience to develop, configure, and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, forms, and custom applications
• Support Service Now modules and capabilities across IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Workflows, Employee Workflows, and other enterprise workflow solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate operational needs into effective Service Now solutions
• Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and related integration technologies
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure reliable service delivery
• Manage platform enhancements, upgrades, patches, update sets, deployments, and testing in accordance with established change management and governance practices
• Implement and maintain platform security controls, access permissions, data integrity standards, and technical documentation
• Evaluate emerging Service Now capabilities, including automation and artificial intelligence, to identify opportunities for modernization and improved customer and employee experiences
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to agency personnel while promoting Service Now development standards, platform governance, and continuous improvement
