You’ll work with cross-functional teams to automate and optimise network performance, availability, and security, supporting both classified and unclassified workloads. Limited travel to company sites may be required.

What you’ll do
  • Work with public cloud networking in Azure and AWS, including secure connectivity models (Express Route, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN / vWAN)
  • Design, architect, and implement routing, switching, WLAN, and firewall infrastructure across data centres and remote offices
  • Deploy and manage WAN and VPN connectivity for enterprise and mission environments
  • Develop network automation for provisioning, monitoring, and configuration management
  • Collaborate with Cloud, Platform, Security, and Infrastructure teams on standardised network architectures that support self-service platforms and engineering automation
  • Recommend and implement scalable, automated approaches to operational tasks and vulnerability remediation
  • Contribute to Agile delivery cycles and manage assigned network projects
  • Conduct capacity planning and recommend improvements
Operations and support
  • Plan and execute network and firewall changes under change-management and security governance processes
  • Monitor, analyse, and improve network performance, resiliency, and security posture
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for network hardware, software, and application issues
  • Configure and maintain secure connectivity services (VPN/ZTNA, HTTPS, SFTP)
  • Create and maintain operational and configuration documentation, and mentor operational teams
  • Engage vendors and strategic partners on escalations, lifecycle planning, and technology evaluations
  • Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance
Maintenance
  • Lead or assist with network upgrades and patching within defined maintenance windows
  • Maintain network device software and licence compliance
  • Work with IT security teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
What we’re looking for
  • 6+ years supporting and administering complex network systems in production environments
  • Expertise in routing, switching, and security architectures
  • Proficiency in at least one Network OS (NX-OS, JunOS, Arista EOS)
  • Proficiency in at least one Network Security OS (PAN-OS, FortiOS)
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Python)
  • Strong understanding of firewall management, segmentation, and VPN technologies
  • Experience building and managing scalable hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud networks
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and troubleshooting skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently in a structured, process-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or 6+ years of relevant experience with a professional certification (CCNP, JNCIS, VCP-NV, or equivalent)
Nice to have
  • Juniper and Palo Alto experience, ideally with Panorama
  • WLAN and wireless authentication (802.1x, RADIUS)
  • NAC solutions and network access policy enforcement
  • ZTNA / SASE experience (Prisma, Zscaler, or Cato)
  • Working knowledge of VMware, Windows, or Linux administration
  • Project management and leadership skills, and a collaborative, coaching mindset
  • A solution-driven, adaptable approach in a fast-paced, change-controlled environment
