  • Define the AI Fin Ops operating model, including metrics, definitions, guardrails, and the monthly review cadence.
  • Analyze spend trends, drivers, waste, and value, and translate findings into recommendations for leaders and Finance.
  • Build forecasts, scenario models, and planning inputs for business units, rollouts, and pricing changes.
  • Develop cost models and total cost of ownership analyses for new AI tools and major deployments.
  • Monitor spend anomalies, establish alert thresholds, and explain monthly variance against budget.
  • Produce allocation and chargeback reporting by business unit and cost center, and provide usage data to support invoice reconciliation and accounting needs.
  • Recommend optimization actions such as changes to access tiers, spend caps, model mix, idle seats, and overlapping tools.
  • Track unit economics and value measures such as cost per active user, use case, agent run, and outcome.
  • Support vendor and renewal analysis by comparing actual usage to commitments and evaluating pricing models.
  • Define reporting requirements for AI spend dashboards and partner with Technology Operations on delivery.
Required Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in Fin Ops, IT finance, cloud cost management, or FP&A for technology spend.
  • Experience managing consumption-based spend such as cloud, data platforms, or AI.
  • Strong SQL skills.

  • Ability to build forecasts, scenario models, and cost allocation or chargeback processes.
  • Clear communication skills with executives and Finance.
  • Experience translating complex data into practical recommendations.
  • Experience working across finance, engineering, data, procurement, and business teams.
