Remote Senior Data Scientist; Financial Modeling

• Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated financial models using machine learning and statistical techniques (e.g., time series forecasting, regression, classification).
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations relevant to financial performance, risk, and customer behavior.
• Build and validate predictive models for applications such as credit scoring, fraud detection, algorithmic trading, and portfolio optimization.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and availability for modeling.
• Communicate complex findings and model results clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and reports.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and financial technologies.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and best practices.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
• Proven expertise in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning (libraries like Pandas, Num Py, Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch).
• Hands-on experience with SQL and working with large databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and their application in finance.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
