Senior Agritech Consultant - Farm Digitization

Our client, a dynamic agricultural technology solutions provider based in East London, Eastern Cape , is seeking an experienced Senior Agritech Consultant to guide agricultural businesses in their digital transformation journey. This role is pivotal in helping clients adopt and integrate cutting-edge technologies to enhance farm management, operational efficiency, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern farming practices, coupled with deep knowledge of digital tools, IoT devices, data analytics platforms, and farm management software.

You will be responsible for assessing client needs, designing customized digital solutions, and overseeing their implementation and adoption. This hybrid role requires regular client interaction and site visits within the Eastern Cape , balanced with remote work for analysis, solution design, and reporting. • Assess clients' current farming operations and identify opportunities for digital transformation.
• Recommend and design integrated agritech solutions, including farm management software, sensor networks, and data analytics platforms.
• Oversee the implementation and deployment of these technologies on client farms.
• Provide training and ongoing support to clients to ensure effective utilization of digital tools.
• Develop strategies for data collection, management, and utilization to drive informed decision-making.
• Stay current with emerging trends and innovations in agricultural technology and digital farming.
• Collaborate with technology partners and software developers to ensure solution effectiveness.
• Prepare project proposals, implementation plans, and performance reports.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Contribute to the firm's knowledge base and best practices in agritech consulting within East London, Eastern Cape .

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in agricultural technology, farm management, or IT consulting with an agricultural focus.
• Proven experience with farm management software (FMS), IoT sensors, data analytics, and digital agriculture platforms.
• Strong understanding of agricultural production systems and challenges.
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
