Customer Technical Support Representative Kwikset

We are looking for a customer-focused Technical Support Representative to support the Kwikset product line, including specialty and electronic locks such as keypad and smartphone-enabled locking systems.

In this role, youll assist customers who may be experiencing installation issues, product malfunctions, or situations where they are unable to access their homes. Because of this, were looking for someone who can remain calm, communicate clearly, troubleshoot effectively, and provide an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

+ Handle a high volume of inbound customer service and technical support calls.

+ Assist customers with troubleshooting, installation, product features, and general product questions.

+ Walk customers through solutions step-by-step over the phone.

+ Determine whether products can be repaired or may need replacement.

+ Respond professionally to customers experiencing difficult or time-sensitive situations.

+ Document customer interactions and relevant product information accurately in the computer system.

+ Respond to customer repair and service requests according to established procedures.

+ Direct customers to the appropriate resources when additional assistance is needed.

What Were Looking For

+ Customer service, call center, technical support, or product support experience preferred.

+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

+ Technical mindset and willingness to learn.

+ Self-motivated and comfortable learning products independently.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Comfortable assisting frustrated customers while remaining patient and professional.

+ Basic computer/data-entry skills.

+ Ability to type 35+ WPM.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Previous hardware or home improvement experience is a plus.

+ Spanish or French bilingual skills are a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Paso, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
