Network Engineer

Flint Central Solutions, based in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. This full-time position offers a salary range of $120,000 to $179,821.

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure, ensuring its reliable and efficient operation. This involves tasks such as configuring network devices, monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. You will also implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control mechanisms, to protect the network from potential threats.

Additionally, you may be involved in network expansion projects, collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems and devices. Your role will require a strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and troubleshooting techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $179,821 per year, which is competitive within the industry. To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with network protocols and security measures is required.

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for our clients.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and industry trends.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams as needed.
• Participate in network upgrades and expansions, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Experience with cloud-based network services and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Certifications in networking, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP, are a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
