Workday Financials Senior Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Senior Consultant to lead implementation work streams and deliver effective financial management solutions for clients. In this role, you will focus on Workday Customers, Projects, and Assets, using your functional expertise to translate business requirements into practical system configurations and processes. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, project managers, data specialists, and other workstream leads to ensure successful implementation delivery.

Beyond your technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior consultants, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and help drive best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Your contributions will support high-quality system implementations, streamlined financial processes, and improved client outcomes. • Lead and manage Workday Financials implementation work streams covering Customers, Projects, and Assets, ensuring solutions align with client business requirements and project objectives.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to financial processes, translating them into effective Workday solutions.
• Guide functional configuration and implementation activities within the relevant Workday Financials modules, ensuring consistency with established best practices.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute test plans to validate system functionality, identify issues, and ensure solutions meet documented business requirements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business process specifications, configuration documentation, testing materials, and end-user training resources.
• Coach and mentor less experienced Workday-certified consultants, sharing functional expertise, implementation knowledge, and professional best practices.
• Prepare and deliver clear, persuasive presentations to stakeholders, explaining proposed solutions, implementation decisions, and project progress.
• Work closely with project management office (PMO) resources, other functional workstream leads, data leads, and technical teams to coordinate dependencies and maintain project alignment.
• Facilitate communication between client teams and implementation resources, adapting communication approaches to different stakeholder needs and levels of technical expertise.
• Identify implementation challenges, support issue resolution, and recommend improvements to enhance solution quality and delivery efficiency.
• Contribute to project planning, workstream coordination, and continuous improvement throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Participate in occasional on-site client activities as required while maintaining effective collaboration in a primarily remote working environment.

• Mandatory Workday certification: Applicants must hold an active or otherwise applicable Workday certification in at least one of the following areas:
  Budgets, Customers, or Projects. Candidates without certification in one of these specified areas should not apply.
• At least 4 years of Workday implementation consulting experience, with demonstrated involvement in enterprise system implementations.
