Job Summary

Applied CAx is seeking a (junior-level) Siemens NX CAD professional who wants to grow from hands-on CAD work into a customer-facing Applications Engineer role.

This position blends NX modeling and drafting with technical pre-sales, live software demonstrations, customer training, and application support. The ideal candidate is comfortable building real parts and assemblies in NX, explaining how and why a workflow works, and learning to connect customer needs with practical Siemens solutions. The position works alongside experienced Application Engineers, Sales professionals, and implementation specialists. Candidates ideally have prior Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, or Technical Account Management experience supporting engineering software sales.

The ability to perform live demonstrations of NX and Teamcenter in both native and managed environments is mandatory.

Preference will be given to individuals holding current or previous Siemens Pre-Sales certifications or equivalent certifications from Dassault Systèmes, PTC, or Autodesk.

This position is well suited to someone who has used NX in a production environment, enjoys solving user problems, and has explored the administrative side of the platform. Deep NX administration experience is not required; practical familiarity with customer defaults, roles, templates, libraries, logging, or related configuration is valuable.

This is designed as a growth position. You will touch a little of everything (with mentoring and guidance) and transition into a more specific technical position.

A successful person in this position will progressively:

• Become independently productive with core NX CAD/CAM workflows.
• Deliver accurate and repeatable NX demonstrations with decreasing supervision.
• Develop into an instructor capable of teaching new and intermediate NX users.
• Participate effectively in technical discovery conversations.
• Translate customer problems into appropriate NX demonstration scenarios.
• Resolve common NX application issues and correctly escalation more complex problems.
• Create useful training, demonstration, and support content that can be reused across customers.
• Build sufficient NX and customer-facing expertise to progress toward an NX Applications Engineer or Technical Pre-Sales Consultant role.

Technical Pre-Sales Support

• Partner with Account Managers to qualify opportunities and identify customer business challenges.
• Conduct technical discovery workshops with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and executive stakeholders.
• Map customer requirements to Siemens solutions and create compelling value propositions.
