Data Scientist

BKD is hiring a Data Scientist to design, build, and ship software that serves millions of users every day. The right warm-yet-rigorous candidate will own outcomes, mentor peers, and earn $125,000 - $189,000 in this senior remote position.

• Document technical decisions, architecture, and APIs for the broader org
• Stand up observability so BKD sees failures before customers in CA do
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and monitoring tools
• Respond to on-call rotations and participate in incident postmortems
• Replace the brittle Mentoring hack with a Num Py solution that survives Pomona scale
• Stress-test Multitasking systems until they bend, then harden where they cracked
• Guard the Multitasking codebase quality through reviews that teach as much as they catch

• Comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders at every level
• A bias toward asking the dumb question before the expensive mistake
• Hands-on technology experience that holds up to follow-up questions
• A communication style that translates jargon back into plain English
• Comfort owning a number that goes up or down because of you

At the heart of BKD is a clarity-seeking belief that great technology software should feel effortless. The metrics-driven pace here is real, but so is the permission to log off and recover.

Our offer to you: $125,000 - $189,000, a mentor, a benefits suite, and the latitude to grow your Stress Management into something senior.

The search is live, the seat is funded, and we are interviewing this week.
