RCIS Crop Area Claims Manager; Fresno

Zurich is currently looking for a Crop Area Claims Manager to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS is one of the leading crop insurance providers in the U.S. RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents. RCIS offers a wide range of private product coverages, including a diverse selection of named‑peril options, supplemental and stand‑alone insurance products as well as federal crop insurance plans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency.

Together with RCIS agents, we protect America’s farmers and ranchers.

The selected candidate will work virtually out of their home in Northeast North Dakota and lead a group of Crop General Adjusters. They should reside in one of the following counties in North Dakota:
Pembina, Cavalier, Walsh, Grand Forks, Nelson, Trail, Griggs, Steele, Cass, Barnes.

• Overseeing day‑to‑day work activities of a group of Crop claims adjusters by providing direction, technical guidance, and tracking/reporting on key metrics.
• Contributing to the customer satisfaction targets by building and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues, and external customers to analyze and resolve quality and customer service problems.
• Monitoring performance of staff and acting as an escalation point for claims to ensure they are handled in the most effective and efficient way to deliver on our customer centric claims service.
• Managing and coaching a team to set goals and achieve results and ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
• Create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Zurich mission and vision.

• Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Crop Claims area.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Crop Claims area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Crop Claims area.
• 2 or more years of Crop claims handling experience.
• Customer Service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment.

• Crop Claims experience highly preferred.
• Experience collaborating across work groups.
• Leadership, coaching or mentoring experience.
• Ability to collaborate across work groups.
• Analytical skills.
• Team lead or management experience.

The proposed Salary range for this position is $61,700.00 – $, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
