Join Victor Insurance UK as a Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter. This role will be based in our Witham office and supports hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

• Contribute to and implement the underwriting strategy for all products within the risk appetite.
• Directly contribute towards financial KPIs, balancing revenue achievement without compromising underwriting profitability.
• Deliver outstanding Victor service levels on all authorised products.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, guidelines and working practices – both internally and externally.
• Spot distribution trends and report back on broker behaviours.
• Act within underwriting authority.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant class / product specialisms.
• Keep pace with market trends and developments for authorised industry segments.
• Build strong relationships with broking and capacity partners.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

• Good understanding of the commercial insurance market.
• At least 3 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Previous underwriting authority for chosen class of business.
• Experience working in teams with a successful record of delivering results.
• Progress towards a CII qualification desirable or equivalent experience.

• Progress towards a CII qualification or equivalent experience.
