What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and loss reserving
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory agencies
  • Provide training and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide actuarial support and insights
  • Conduct data analysis and recommend changes to insurance products based on findings
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 3 years of experience
  • At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, or Radar
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Proven ability to give formal presentations and communicate effectively
  • In‑depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
  • Basic computer programming skills
