What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and loss reserving
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory agencies
  • Train and mentor Actuarial Analysts to enhance team capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support and insights
  • Conduct data analysis and recommend changes to insurance products based on findings
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field with 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
  • Or a graduate degree in a relevant field with 3 years of experience in the same area
  • At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis in personal lines pricing insurance
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams demonstrating proficiency in the field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting

  • Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively through presentations
  • In-depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
  • Basic programming skills in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python)
  • Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups or volunteer efforts
