The purpose of this role is to contribute to the financial success of the company by assisting with underwriting crop insurance, to assure compliance with rules and regulations of the Federal Crop Insurance Program and company policies regarding crop hail and named peril policies.
LocationMissoula, Montana
Work ArrangementThis role will require 3 days/week in the office. The hours for this role are 7:30am-4:15pm MST Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am-12pm MST on Fridays
Starting Salary$20.75/hour to $31.00/hour depending on experience.
Your New Role- Ensure complete and accurate policy processing activities by reviewing and/or data entry of applications, policy changes, actual production history (APH) and acreage report (AR) written agreements and gathering missing information.
- Maintain records relative to policy information, production data, acreage reports and other documents. Ensure all information is complete and accurate. Provide printing and mailing of documents as needed.
- Correct errors associated with the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation
FCIC) Error report as directed. - Audit insured and agent submitted paperwork for completeness.
- Effectively provide agent support through business correspondence to resolve day-to-day administrative and operational duties.
- Prepare reports for team members, agents and field personnel.

- Adherence to Underwriting Guidelines and RMA Rules & Regulations.
- Attend training to gain knowledge in the Crop Insurance Industry.
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year relevant experience
- Quickly and accurately perform data entry

- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience with data entry, crop insurance, insurance coursework
- Proficient On Base and workflow
- Basic knowledge of crop insurance industry and underwriting processes
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Terminology, function and fundamental capabilities of common computer, software, information, and communication technology devices, components and concepts

Compensation PackageThe salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
