Senior Field Property Claims Adjuster

Our client, a leading A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Field Property Claims Adjuster in Ohio to cover one of the following territories:
Louisville or Lexington. This person will be responsible for handling mid to complex Residential and Commercial Property losses from inception to close. This includes conducting on-site investigations/inspections of property losses, evaluate, and determine appropriate policy coverage. Qualified candidates should be well versed in Xactimate and experienced working as a Staff Adjuster for an insurance carrier. Must reside in Ohio.

• Handle a mix of Residential and Commercial Property losses including estimating, evaluating, drafting coverage position letters, and settling losses within a designated territory.
• Properly address Property Coverage questions when needed.
• Proficient knowledge of property policies and forms.
• Communicate with policyholders, agents, contractors and others, as needed.
• Identify and pursue appropriate cost containment, loss mitigation and subrogation recovery opportunities.
• Negotiate and resolve claims within established settlement.
• Provide timely status reports regarding assigned claims to home office adjusters, management, and others.
• Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department Best Practices.

• 5 to 10+ years of Field Property claims handling experience.
• Must have experience working directly for an Insurance Carrier as a Field Staff Property Adjuster.
• Must reside in Ohio.
• Must be well versed in Xactimate.
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

• $90,000 to $115,000 annual base salary plus bonus up to 20%
