RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I

Zurich Insurance is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to work from a home-based office in Minnesota. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with approximately 50% travel within a 50–60 mile radius of specified counties.

• Conduct field inspections and related tasks such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on complex, non-routine claims.
• Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry contacts.
• Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
• Gather relevant facts, utilize applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence.
• Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
• Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 6 months of experience in the agricultural area.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Physical ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 ft, lift 25–50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying temperatures/conditions.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

The salary range for this position is $22.02 – $30.24 per hour, plus a short-term incentive bonus of 5%. Your pay will be based on role, location, skills, and experience. Bonuses and merit increases may also apply.
