Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to handle Oregon-specific claims in a 100% remote capacity. This role is responsible for managing the full life cycle of workers’ compensation claims while ensuring compliance with Oregon statutes, regulations, and best practices.

Salary and Benefits

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–5+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims adjusting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Oregon Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations
  • Oregon Workers’ Compensation Adjuster license (or ability to obtain, if applicable)
  • Experience handling lost-time claims preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of Oregon workers’ compensation claims from inception through closure
  • Investigate claims, determine compensability, and establish appropriate reserves
  • Coordinate medical care, communicate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, and medical providers
  • Ensure compliance with Oregon Workers’ Compensation laws, rules, and reporting requirements
  • Evaluate and manage litigated and non-litigated claims
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and file notes in accordance with internal standards
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate claim handling in accordance with best practices and service-level expectations
