Job Description Requirement/Must Have

• Minimum of 5 years of claims management experience.
• Strong knowledge of general liability insurance principles and laws.
• Experience managing high-exposure and litigated claims.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage claims independently and meet service expectations.

• Complex and technically challenging general liability claims.
• Litigation management and coordination with legal counsel.
• Reserve analysis and ongoing reserve management.
• Subrogation and recovery processes.
• Cost containment and vendor management strategies.

• Analyze and process complex general liability claims through investigation and evaluation.
• Assess liability and determine appropriate claim resolutions.
• Develop and execute action plans to achieve timely claim closure.
• Negotiate claim settlements within assigned authority levels.
• Calculate, assign, and manage claim reserves throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Authorize and issue claim payments and adjustments accurately and timely.
• Prepare required state filings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage litigated claims to ensure cost-effective and timely resolution.
• Coordinate vendor referrals for investigation and litigation support.
• Identify and manage recovery opportunities including subrogation and applicable offsets.
• Communicate claim activity clearly with claimants and clients.
• Ensure claim documentation and coding accuracy.
• Escalate cases to management as appropriate.

• Professional insurance or claims-related certification.
• Experience working with excess carriers.
• Background in cost containment or medical management practices.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
