Commercial Lines Account Manager – Producer Operations Team (Fully Remote)

Join Insurance Office of America as a Commercial Lines Account Manager supporting the Producer Operations Team. The role focuses on managing an assigned book of business and providing support to new producers during their first 3–6 months.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include account retention, customer service, policy administration, and temporary assistance to other IOA account teams as needed. The book focus is General, Contractor, Professional Liability, and Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
  • Direct daily activities of the account management team.
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and take action on delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor activity and maintain suspense to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate frequently and transparently with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.
  • Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.
  • Demonstrate IOA values, integrity, and leadership.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Required active P&C licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
