Expert Complex Claims Examiner

Hybrid: remote or in office (Cerritos CA or Henderson NV). Travel limited.

• Supervise and direct handling of complex and high‑severity claim files.
• Issue instructions to company personnel to handle all aspects of claims.
• Review Home Office Referral files, identify critical issues and develop action plans.
• Direct Company personnel to perform tasks needed to complete all aspects of action plans.
• Analyze and direct handling of coverage positions and confirm/deny coverage.
• Conduct, coordinate and direct investigation into facts of loss and extent of damages.
• Ensure all documentation of damages is obtained as required.
• Evaluate contractual coverage, liability, damages, surveys, reports to determine exposure.
• Document investigation, evaluation, resolution strategies through reports, file notes, correspondence, memos.
• Set reserves within authority or recommend changes; obtain approvals for reserve changes.
• Conclude claims by communicating coverage and liability positions and directing settlements.
• Direct collection of settlement documents and issuance of payments.

• Minimum 4+ years of claim handling experience, proficiency in analyzing and handling bodily injury claims and negotiation methods.
• Current adjuster licenses in assigned states.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to give technical directions and work effectively with staff at all levels.
• Basic Excel skills for communication, reporting and documentation.
• Work under rigid deadlines with potential significant human and monetary impact.
• Hybrid position; travel may be required on a limited basis.

Hiring Range: $68,000.00 to $ per year, based on experience, skills, education, certifications and geographic location.
