What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Analyze and process complex veterinary claims by investigating and gathering necessary information
  • Conduct investigations and provide reports on new claims and legal actions
  • Negotiate claim settlements up to designated authority levels
  • Monitor and calculate reserves for claims throughout their lifecycle
  • Represent the employer in depositions, mediations, and trial monitoring as needed
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Six (6) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice insurance principles and laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
  • Experience with cost containment principles and medical management practices
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Social Security application procedures as applicable to the line of business
